What a great spot. If you're looking to go for apps and drinks somewhere in the city, this is the spot. All the appetizers we ordered were all fantastic. Our main meal, we decided to go with the board and it did not disappoint. The photos speak for themselves and yes the food tasted as good as it looks. I wasn't particularly crazy about the dessert but everything else was stellar.

We came for dinner on Valentine’s Day and expected it to be busy, and we still received amazing service and amazing food! We ordered an appetizer and two meals, all of which were amazing! We sat upstairs which was perfect as it’s a bit more quiet and intimate for a date. The bartender/server was very attentive and thorough, and was kind enough to take a picture of us when we asked. Bonus points, they had a server going around taking pictures of people with a Polaroid camera, so cute!

Came here for my birthday dinner and loved it! Such a good vibe, the food was fantastic and Tiana was a fantastic waitress - so friendly and helpful!!

I was highly impressed with my visit to Alora on Friday evening. The vibe and atmosphere are unmatched—it’s one of those places that either has “it” or doesn’t, and Alora definitely has it! I reserved the 2nd floor (private party space), which requires a minimum spend to book. It comfortably holds about 25-30 people and features a private bar seating. I loved the view overlooking the bottom floor, where you can see people dancing and enjoying themselves. During dinner, the atmosphere is intimate and vibey, but after 9:30, it transforms into a lively, fun scene with a live DJ. If you prefer a quieter evening, I recommend reserving from 5:00 to 7:30 PM—that gives you plenty of time to enjoy your meal before the party vibe kicks in. The food was served hot and on time, and our server and bartender were incredibly attentive. I highly recommend the crab bites, hot honey chicken bites, whipped feta, seafood pasta, and steak (ask for the bordelaise sauce on the side). The Parmesan fries are a must-try as well! Oh yes if you have a group of 2-4 try the land and sea platter, it’s beautiful! What stood out to me the most was the passion of the owners, who are there daily to oversee operations. You can truly feel the care and dedication poured into this restaurant, and it makes me so happy to support such a fantastic team. Thank you, Alora, for accommodating my reservation for 30 people—it was an amazing experience!

The crab cakes were yummy and the tuna tacos were fresh and featured an above average quantity of tuna (although slightly lacked salt). Other people's dishes were also really good, such as the feta one. Was there for a birthday party on a Saturday with a table of 13. The service was very accommodating, despite the previous table leaving a bit late, they offered us each a complimentary glass of Prosecco for the delay. DJ was pretty good, I love the idea of having a DJ even during the meal service portion. Would go back and try other dishes for sure!

Came for drinks and dinner at Alora and it was actually really nice. The food is good and there's a lot of options and great for sharing. The service was friendly and the bartenders came up with good virgin drinks. The music was a good vibe too the DJ did an excellent job, it's really too bad it wasn't more busy than it was.

Five stars for Alora in Ottawa! This place strikes the perfect balance between an upscale dining experience and an energetic club vibe. It's like stepping into another world, reminiscent of the Matrix! Special thanks to Mr. Arash and the entire team for their exceptional hospitality. Truly the most vibrant place in Ottawa and a must-visit!

We had an incredible experience at Alora! The food was absolutely amazing — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. What made our visit even more special was our server, Ariahna. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcomed. Her service was just as exceptional as the food. Highly recommend!
